01
Decide what goes with you
Start with the rooms in your next home. Keep the pieces you want and identify what will not fit. Retain labels, receipts, cases and matching parts with items you may sell.
Show us the collection while it is still accessible. Tell us the moving date before we propose listings or a visit.
02
Give the good pieces time
We research approved items and list them where their buyers are likely to search. Local buyers visit at times arranged with you and pay before the piece leaves. Demand, condition, pricing and access affect how long a sale takes.
There is no guaranteed sale date or promise that proceeds will pay for the move. A short deadline can change the recommendation, including whether individual listings are practical.
Photo review first. Full service visits generally start with a $1,500 appraised collection and five pieces over $150. One valuable piece can start with photo review. We assess its value, condition and practical handling, then recommend the right level of support.
03
Agree the work and the remainder
Someone must be available for scheduled local buyers. Online sales usually involve client packing and shipping with our label, unless another arrangement is agreed. Discuss heavy or fragile pieces before choosing shipping.
Local buyers pay you at the door, first, and we invoice our share on Friday. When a piece sells online, the marketplace pays us and your share goes out on the first Friday after cleared funds arrive, by check or to the bank you link in your portal. Itemized either way.
Decide early whether unsold pieces move with you, remain listed where practical, or go through an agreed donation or removal plan. None of those happens automatically.
See the kinds of pieces we have sold, then show us what you want to part with.
