01
Start with what you want to sell
A house can hold good furniture alongside art, cameras and tools. In-home consignment can suit the pieces with a buyer waiting for that particular maker or model. An estate sale may suit a larger collection with a firm deadline. Choose the route around the belongings and the time available.
Keep the pieces and papers the family wants first. Leave maker labels and any receipts with the items you may sell. A signed print or a specialist tool can be easy to overlook.
02
Pick a selling route
Sell it yourself. You choose the price, make the listing, answer messages and arrange collection. This can suit a few pieces when you have time to handle the selling.
Use a consignment service. Ask what it accepts, where the items stay, which buyers it reaches and what you will pay. With our in-home service, approved pieces stay at your house while we handle listings and buyer conversations.
Ask a specialist. A distinctive collection may need an auction house, dealer or other specialist. Identification, condition and the exact edition matter. Get the terms before you hand over a piece.
Arrange an estate sale. A date-driven sale is a different job from selling selected pieces over time. Agree on the scope, access and what happens to unsold contents. A sale does not automatically include clearing the house.
03
Take photos that help someone assess it
Show the whole piece and its maker label. Include visible wear or damage. Furniture needs dimensions and a clear view of how it can leave the room. For several rooms, a short walkthrough video helps show the collection without photographing every object immediately.
Keep accessories together. A case, remote, manual or set of matching parts can change what a buyer is looking at.
04
Agree on the work before it starts
Ask which pieces are included, how prices will be researched and what costs come out before your share is calculated. Clarify who meets a local buyer and who handles packing for an online sale. Make sure the deadline and any unsold items are covered in writing.
With Revived, local buyers pay the client before an item leaves. Online sales follow the agreed fulfillment and cleared-fund payment process. Clients usually pack and ship with our label, unless another arrangement is agreed. The written terms control the job.
05
Show us what you have
Send photos of a valuable individual piece or a collection. We assess the value, likely demand, condition, location and handling before recommending the next step. A suitable collection may lead to a free in-home walkthrough. Your inquiry does not book a visit automatically.
